Burnt Ridge Expansion Project at Gore Mountain a GO!!!
This December, Gore Mountain introduces you to their all-new development on Burnt Ridge Mountain, one of Gore Mountains four unique peaks.
Gore Mountain Ski Resort will be opening four new trails (that's just for starters).
This new terrain will increase the vertical drop to 2,300 feet and add about 35 acres of skiing, with a blend of intermediate and expert terrain serviced by the high-speed Burnt Ridge Quad.
Look for new glades too!
The newest trails are:
Sagamore - A new black diamond on the lift line. Like Topridge, but bigger and badder with more vertical. Check out some sweet glades off this run. Echo - Twister's Sister. She's a long, fun, blue square. Don't worry, we won't mess with Twister Glades too much. Cedars - Offering convenient intermediate access from the base area to the bottom of the Burnt Ridge Quad. Hedges - An access trail that brings you from the top of the Burnt Ridge Quad to Twister, directly above the entrance to the Twister Glades.

Expansion Project at Gore Mountain a GO!!!
Governor George Patacki, Senator Betty
Little and Assemblywomen Teresa Sayward visited the North Creek area on
Friday, December 16th 2006 to announce a $7 million expansion at Gore Mountain
Ski Area.
A large number of community members attended the formal announcement on
Friday for the special announcement from Pataki. The added expansion
will enable Gore Mountain Ski Center to boast having the eighth-largest
vertical drop in the eastern United States.
An additional $5.5 million was announced earlier in the month from Senator
Betty Little for the connection from Gore Mountain to North Creek Ski Bowl
which will allow Gore Mountain Ski Center to boast having the sixth-largest
vertical drop in the eastern United States.
Also announced was an expansion of the
rail line connection between Saratoga Springs and North Creek. With the
upgraded rail lines the community will continue to have an increased economic
growth.
These announcements are very exciting for
the local communities as stated by Gore Mountain General Manager Mike Pratt.
